PML-N leader and former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said in a statement that the elections in Punjab were conducted by dissolving the assembly, but now if the National Assembly and hold a general election in 90 days, because the country’s economy will suffer. It is not sustainable.

In his speech on private TV, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi further said that, currently, efforts are being made to stabilize the economy and correct the situation and make difficult decisions for him.

He said that whenever difficult decisions are made, the economic cost always comes and the decisions we are making today should have been made a long time ago. A series of mistakes will end up being a series of difficult decisions.

The former prime minister said former finance minister Miftah Ismail had his own plan that made him successful. The current Minister of Finance, Ishaq Dar, has a vision for implementation and the decisions he is making are difficult but only he can know what the right decisions are.

He said, ‘one side wins and the other side loses in the election, we don’t worry about anything, but whenever we take the government in difficult situations like this difficult decision, we have to pay the political price.
