Nashik: The Tree Management Department of the Nashik Municipal Corporation has several times taken action against illegal felling of trees in Nashik City. A case has been registered against four people for cutting two trees named Kashid and Gulmohar without permission in Nirmal Colony behind Shri Guruji Hospital under Anandwali division of the part of Satpur. A case has been registered against land owners Mahesh Mirji, Kiran Vasave, Anand Bendkule, Eknath Bendkuli at Gangapur police station.
Vishwa Nikam Jagdish Lokhande, Inspector of Development Department of Satpur, RB Sonawane, Shrikant went to the place and inspected. After this, a show-cause notice was issued to the land owner Mahesh Mirji regarding the illegal felling of trees. A group of the Parks and Forests Authority is monitoring the incidents of falling trees. This announcement will take effect now.

The Nashik Municipal Corporation submitted eight cases to the department last month regarding illegal felling of trees in eight different places. A fine of 7.5 lakh has already been imposed. A fine of Rs 5 lakh 5 thousand was taken for cutting trees in the Trimbak Road area of Satpur division. The citizens of the city take permission from the Department of Trees Management of the Nashik Municipal Corporation for trimming and cutting trees. The appeal was made by Dr. Vijaykumar Munde, Deputy Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Department of Agriculture and Tree Management.
