Mumbai. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar said on Sunday that he is not involved in any talks between Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray and Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) leader. The move was seen as an attempt by Thackeray to garner the support of Dalits ahead of the state assembly elections. Thackeray’s party is part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance which also includes the NCP and the Congress.
A few days after the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and the VBA formed an alliance, Pawar said there were no plans to hold talks with Ambedkar’s faction within the MVA.

However, when asked by reporters on Sunday whether the NCP and VBA would work together, Pawar said, “I am not involved in any discussions between them (Shiv Sena- UBT and VBA). I think Congress, NCP and Shiv Sena (UBT) should contest the election together. On this statement of Pawar, VBA leader Ambedkar said, “The election is not far away. . Things will soon become clear. In fact Shiv Sena and VBA will contest the election together.
