Saudi King Salman has invited Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to visit Saudi Arabia.
According to a foreign news agency, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian President for Political Affairs, Mohammad Jamshidi, tweeted that Saudi Arabia invited the Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi to Riyadh.
He said that the Saudi leader wrote a letter to the president of Iran and welcomed the restoration of relations between the two countries.
Mohammad Jamshidi said that King Salman encouraged Iran-Saudi economic power and regional cooperation.
He said that the President of Iran Raisi has accepted the invitation of the Saudi leader and he has asked Iran to be ready to increase cooperation with Saudi Arabia.
On the other hand, no such letter has been approved by Saudi Arabia.
It should be noted that Iran and Saudi Arabia announced the restoration of international relations on March 10. Diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran have been severed since 2016, but this month, China played the role of an important mediator in the restoration of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
