The Gurukul, Panchkula, again received the ‘Best Maintained Garden in a School’ award for the 19th consecutive year at the 34th Spring Fest 23, Panchkula’s annual flower festival, organized by Haryana Shahari Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP).
This year, the gathering of flowers in all colors and shades is a riot of color. The theme of this year’s Gurukul garden is ‘Inclusion through Celebrating Diversity’.
Acknowledging that each child is unique and special, the different colors in the garden were put together for all the children like colors, they are all different. but together they make a beautiful rainbow.
From the colorful bar with rainbow colored pencils, to the colorful palette made of petunias, from the beautiful ‘green class’ that features a ‘class together at school’ in the spectacular ‘fallen flower’, the message of ’embracing and celebrating differences’. ‘ was loud and clear.
The lush green garden, various types of flowers, succulents and cactii complete with a spectacular waterfall is a sight to behold for all visitors to The Gurukul. The director of the Gurukul, Panchkula, Sanjay Thareja, praised the efforts of his team and said that it was the result of tireless and creative efforts of the teachers in charge of the school’s agriculture department, the students of the ECO Club – Birds of Paradise – and school gardeners. He also said that the farmers of the school cannot rest and start working hard for next year’s competition.
