Kolkata : Customs officials at the Kolkata airport have seized gold worth Rs 2.79 crore from a passenger. According to the sources, the Customs officials received a tip-off that a passenger from Dubai was coming to Kolkata with a large amount of gold. According to the above information, the Customs team stopped a passenger as soon as he arrived at the airport in Kolkata. During the search, about 5.5 kg of gold was hidden in the form of a mixture found in his pants, trousers and socks. Finally, 4.92 kg of gold was recovered from the said skin. The market value of the seized gold is Rs 2.79 crore.
