All schools up to class eight will remain closed on September 24 in Ghaziabad due to heavy rainfall alert
In view of the Meteorological Department’s warning of heavy rain in Ghaziabad, the district administration has decided to keep the schools closed for classes 1-8 on Saturday, 24 September. Due to rain, all the board schools of classes 1 to 8 remained closed on Friday as well. It rained throughout the day on Friday, after which the District Basic Education Officer, on the instructions of District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh, issued orders for the closure of the school on Saturday as well.
It is raining heavily in Ghaziabad district since Wednesday. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain for several days now. In view of this, District Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Singh has given instructions to close the schools of all the boards from class one to class eight in the district.
District Basic Education Officer Vinod Mishra said that all schools will be closed on September 24. Students of all classes from class 9 onwards will continue their regular studies, as well as the examinations in the schools where examinations are going on will also be conducted under the pre-examination program.
Due to water logging due to rain, jam at places
